Before We Begin
Before We Begin · Johari Window Assessment

The Johari Window.

Developed in 1955, the Johari Window is one of the most powerful self-awareness tools in coaching. By selecting the words that describe you, we map what you know about yourself — and reveal what may be hidden or unknown.

Quadrant 1

Open Area

Known to you, known to others. Your visible strengths, values and communication style.

Quadrant 2

Blind Spot

Not known to you, but known to others. Patterns others see that you may not recognise.

Quadrant 3

Hidden Area

Known to you, but not shown to others. Strengths and qualities you keep private.

Quadrant 4

Unknown Area

Unknown to both you and others. Untapped potential waiting to be discovered.

Step 1 of 2 · Your Self-Portrait

Choose the words that describe you.

Select all the adjectives you feel genuinely reflect who you are. Be honest — there are no right or wrong answers. Choose at least 6, up to as many as feel true.
